Description
The specimen is identifiable as ovarian in origin by the presence of a Fallopian tube, which can be
seen from one side of the specimen stretched over its surface. The cut surface of the tumour shows
large smooth-walled cysts up to 10 cm. in diameter; the intervening tissue is loosely textured and
contains a number of yellowish nodules up to 5 cm. in diameter. These yellowish nodules are of
thecal origin.
